Why Amber does not have a Mobile App?
Why did we choose not to build a mobile app for Amber?
Reduces Response Rate: The tedious process of downloading an app and/or signing up is time-consuming and laborious. This can further reduce the response rate for employees, and ensure that the entire chatting process is smooth and simple.
Increases efficiency: In our data analysis of over 300,000 employees, we have found that employees receiving an encrypted link via email have led to high response rates. Even in cases where employees use mobile devices, they can simply click on the chat link and instantly start chatting with Amber on a mobile browser.
Higher Preference: The same analysis of chat data from over 300,000 employees across global enterprises showed most preferred accessing Amber via an encrypted chat link.
Easier Adaption with Email: Email continues to be one of the channels that employees across the organizations use every day. It is also an easy-to-adapt mode of communication compared to a mobile application.
